Guards Polo Club

I’ve not had much time to get out and about with my camera recently, so it’s been great to spend a couple of days in Windsor, enjoying the fast and furious game of polo at the Guards Polo club.

One of the best things is these games are free to watch,(Unless you want to buy tickets to sit in the stands) and you can spend as much time there as you like, enjoying the sunshine with a nice cup of tea or a beer if you fancy it.

There are 10 different fields in which these matches are played on and they are kept in beautiful condition.

Now I know nothing about the rules of the game, so please don’t think I’m an expert, All I know is the riders are extremely skilled and the horses are amazingly well cared for.

Players and their Horses travel from far and wide to play here at the Guards Polo Club, and the likes of King Charles, Prince William and Prince Harry have all played here in the past.

Now I’m not a 100% sure about this but I believe the teams I watcher were, Mad Dogs (3) Vs Hook Army Polo Team(7), AFB -Libertines-Tchogan (6) Vs Cavalry & Guards (2.5) in the Major Generals Tournament, on Sunday 7th September ‘25

And LA pedrosa (6) Vs Nelson Segavas Polo (8) on Monday 8th September ‘25 in the Autumn Nations Trophy.
